Tiffanie Bockey
FOUNDER & DIRECTRESS

Tiffanie Bockey

One of Tiffanie Bockey’s greatest passions in life is teaching Montessori. From a young age she knew she wanted to be a teacher. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University in 2003 and taught kindergarten in public schools for many years.

She discovered Montessori in 2010 when she enrolled her daughter at Heritage Montessori. The philosophy immediately resonated with her — especially the idea of following the child, fostering independence, and creating a joyful learning environment. She earned her AMS Elementary I credential in 2016 and her Early Childhood credential in 2020.

In 2021, with the support of her family and community, Tiffanie fulfilled her dream by opening Compass Point Montessori — “Charting the Course to Independence.” Just one year later, the school received the 2022 Best of Leonardtown Award in the Preschool category.

Outside the classroom, Tiffanie is a loving wife, mother of three, and proud dog mom. She enjoys reading, family dinners, and evening walks with her doodle dog. Montessori isn’t just her profession — it’s a way of life she brings into her home every day.

“I LOVE WHAT I DO!”

CO-TEACHER

Ella Fisher

Ella is so excited to be at Compass Point Montessori! She has just finished completing her AMS Early Childhood Montessori certification in June 2026. She has spent the past two years in Montessori classrooms—first as an assistant and then as a lead—and can’t wait to continue her third year in the field. Before discovering Montessori, she worked in a ceramic studio leading painting workshops for people of all ages, where she loved teaching different painting and art techniques.

Outside of school, Ella has always been passionate about sports, especially softball, which she played competitively until an injury in college. These days she enjoys working out and caring for animals of all kinds. At home, she has a dog, a cat, lizards, and even a few tarantulas—she loves all creatures, furry or scaly!

From independence to the love of learning, Montessori has transformed her life and she hopes it will do the same for you and your children.

Furgus

Mr. Furgus is our friendly class doggie! He brings snuggles, joy, and lots of tail wags to Compass Point Montessori. The children love to help care for him and learn responsibility through gentle interactions.

He is a beloved member of our classroom community.
